Bryan Paulsen, AIA, CID, LEED AP was a dedicated Minnesota architect who devoted his career to shaping spaces to bring people together. Whether sketching a concept for a client or mentoring architects, his work reflected a deep commitment to enriching the lives of those around him. Bryan’s career spanned over 40 years and left an indelible mark on Mankato and the surrounding region where he became a respected and admired figure in the community. Alongside his wife and life partner, Tami, Bryan took great pride in his professional achievements and family life.

The Bryan Paulsen Legacy Scholarship aims to carry on Bryan’s legacy as a respected and admired architect who connected people through design. This scholarship honors his commitment to higher education and enduring influence by investing in the next generation of architects. Dedicated to the same principles that defined his life and career, it supports second-year and above architecture students who embody his values of mentorship, community impact, and design excellence.
- College sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in an accredited architecture program
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- A student of good standing with character that is reflective of Bryan’s legacy
- Nomination by an ISG Employee Owner is preferred, but not required
To complete the scholarship application, please be prepared to provide the following:

- 3–5 sketches showcasing your design work
