The City of Spearfish is developing the Phase 2 Spearfish Creek Preservation Plan with design concepts to maintain public access to the creek while preserving and improving the creek's ecological function. To guide design concept development, the City is seeking input from the public on their use of the Spearfish Creek Corridor.
Project Goals
- Engage the public, stakeholders, and agency partners through open houses, online tools, and workshops
- Develop and refine concept designs for priority creek locations
- Integrate feedback into an updated master plan document with goals, strategies, and implementation actions
Phase II will result in a finalized master plan that provides a practical roadmap for future creek improvements, balancing recreation, ecological health, and long-term community benefit.
