We Want To Hear From You!
Help shape the future of Correctionville’s water system by taking a brief survey about your property’s water service line.
To protect public health and ensure safe drinking water for all residents, the City of Correctionville is undertaking a vital project to replace all lead or potentially lead-contaminated water service lines in partnership with ISG, an engineering consultant. This effort is driven by new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations based on recent research highlighting the dangers of lead exposure, particularly through aging water infrastructure.
The City and ISG will hold public informational meetings to inform residents of project progress and answer questions. Meeting times and dates will be posted on this website when finalized.
Project Goals
- Eliminate Lead Exposure Risks – Replace all lead or potentially contaminated water service lines to reduce public health risks associated with lead in drinking water.
- Minimize Community Disruption – Use trenchless construction methods, such as pipe bursting or directional drilling, to reduce the impact on streets, yards, and daily life for residents.
- Enhance Long-Term Water Quality – Improve the safety and reliability of the City’s water system by modernizing aging infrastructure and updating water meters citywide.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Meet new EPA regulations and standards for lead service line replacement to maintain a safe, compliant municipal water infrastructure.
